Each Regulated Firm Type has a finite number of Operational Processes and it needs to comply with the finite number of Regulatory Rules.

The Individual Accountability Framework Regulation (Additional Conduct Standard A & B) stipulates that a firm must maintain a controls framework and be aware of all their Regulatory obligations, or the PCF's in charge risk getting fined.

Without the correct training on all the Rules that the firm needs to comply with, it is impossible for firms to build those controls frameworks.  

Linguistics-based training is based on the Rules of Regulation and not the subjectivity of the Course writer.

We use linguistics to identify the applicable Regulation, the Applicable Regulatory Rules, the controls for each rule and what sentence criteria those controls need to comply with.

It is better that normal training as it is more comprehensive and helps firms address the regulation (as per IAF). Where normal AML training will address how criminals Launder money, Linguistics training will cover that along with how the firm needs to address each applicable rule

Your Financial Knowledge Passport is evidence that the person has completed a course in each of the main Regulations that a firm needs to address (e.g. An Irish AIFM would need to comply with AML, IAF, AIFMD, The AIF Rulebook, Market Abuse, DORA, GDPR Regulations and so courses would be available in each for the firms employees to improve their skills and knowledge to build a strong controls framework around the business). 

Go to the Regulation Page for your Firm Type and see the Regulations applicable for that firm and then take and assessment to test your knowledge or buy the course outright.

You can purchase courses individually or purchase access to the Portal for that firm type where you will get access to all the courses for all the applicable Regulations (the number of Regulations are continually growing so this is the best option)

You will have to re-sit the assessment and course on an annual basis to maintain your passport score and continue to prove that your knowledge is up to date.
